Probability Rules

In this mission, you'll learn about the fundamental rules of probability. You'll learn concepts such as Sample Space, certain and impossible events, the addition rule, Venn diagrams, set notation, and more.

In probability, it's helpful to visualize events using Venn diagrams. In this mission, you'll see exactly why we visualize events using diagrams and why it makes everything easier. When discussing Venn diagrams, you will learn about mutually exclusive and mutually non-exclusive events, and how they play into assessing probability.

You'll also learn about set notation, which is important because the outcomes of a random experiment are usually represented as a set

In this mission, you will come across Greek letters and other symbols. They may look intimidating, but don't worry! Everything will be explained, and by the end of the mission you'll be wielding them like a math whiz!
